Willamette Chapter Plant Sale benefits hort ed

By Curt Kipp — Posted April 19, 2013

The Willamette Chapter of OAN, comprised of mid-valley growers, is seeking donated plant material for their annual plant sale, which will take place April 27–28 at Oregon Ag Fest. Your generous donation will help raise money for the chapter’s
educational fund. Blooming plants are the best, although all plants are needed and welcome.

Please label all plants, and include an invoice with your donation. Deliver plants by April 26 to either Alpha Nursery in Salem, Ore., or Brentano’s Tree Farm in St. Paul, Ore. To make a donation or volunteer, download this form. For more information, contact Val Tancredi at 503-585-5550 or valt@stettlersupply.com.

The family-oriented Oregon Ag Fest will take place at the Oregon State Fairgrounds, 2330 17th St. N.E., in Salem, Ore. Participants can learn about agriculture by touching, tasting and experiencing life on the farm. Activities will include a seedling giveaway, pony rides, rabbit petting and more. Admission is $9, but children 12 and younger are free, and so is parking. For more details, hit up www.oragfest.com.
