Two online lecture series available from AmericanHort

By Bill Goloski — Posted April 7, 2021

AmericanHort is offering two online series of educational seminars using recordings from Cultivate’20 Virtual. Each one has three lectures by notable thought-leaders in the industry and can be watched on-demand. Registrants will be able to access the material until May 1.

The Pricing to Win series of lectures reviews pricing strategies that can be used to manage profit margins. The three sessions are Effective Eco-labeling Practices and Optimal Pricing in the Green Industry, presented by Hayk Khachatryan, Ph.D. from the University of Florida; Supply Side Dynamics of Pricing, by Charlie Hall, Ph.D. of Texas A&M University; and What Are Consumers Willing to Pay?, by Bridget Behe, Ph.D. of Michigan State University. The cost is FREE to members, or $99 for non-members.

The Greenhouse Current Issues and Best Practices series discusses the best practices of saniation, minimizing risk, holding crops, and more. The three lectures include BMPs for Crop Risk Management, by Jason Twaddell of Ball Seed Company; Clean Surfaces to Prevent Diseases, by Rosa Raudales, Ph.D. of the University of Connecticut; Modifying Cultural Practices and Growing Environments for Holding Spring Crops, by Christopher Currey, Ph.D. of Iowa State University. The cost is FREE to members, or $99 for non-members.
