Roger Berryhill, nursery grower for 46 years

We received the sad news this morning that Roger Berryhill, co-owner of Berryhill Nursery in Sherwood, Ore., passed away last night (Feb. 18, 2009) of a heart attack at the age of 75. OFA leader passes away at age 45

John Holmes, chief executive officer of OFA–an Association of Floriculture Professionals, died Feb. 12, 2009, in Columbus, Ohio, of a heart attack. He was 45. Entomologist heads up Hood River extension center

Oregon State University has hired tree fruit entomologist Dr. Peter Shearer as superintendent of the Mid-Columbia Agricultural Research and Extension Center (MCAREC) in Hood River, Ore. Nursery icon passes away at age 86

Nursery industry innovator Jack McConkey passed away Sept. 3, 2008 following a lengthy battle with Parkinson’s disease. He was 86.
