Sharing the message

By Curt Kipp — Posted November 18, 2008

On Friday, the Coalition for a Working Oregon held a forum on immigration issues that was hosted by the Klamath County Chamber of Commerce. Kelly O’Brien, CWO coordinator, reports on the event:

The session was held at a local downtown restaurant and featured speakers Jeff Stone with the Oregon Association of Nurseries and Renee Sinclair with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. The session drew about 20 individuals and focused on results of the CWO-commissioned economic study and how immigration issues and regulations impact local businesses in the area. The chamber was thrilled with the session and the turnout. We are working on scheduling additional sessions throughout the state and will keep you updated on our progress.

In other words, watch for future forums throughout the state. We’ll keep you posted as we learn when and where they will be.
