When Oregon legislators arrived at their desks in the House and Senate chambers on Monday, January 12, they were greeted by florist azaleas that were provided free of charge by Woodburn Nursery & Azaleas.

“These beautiful, Oregon-grown plants made a positive impression, as they always do,” OAN Executive Director Jeff Stone said. “They reminded our legislators of the positive impact Oregon’s nursery industry makes on the economy, as well as the natural and built environments.”

Legislators are taking part in organizational meetings for the rest of January, and will begin their formal session on Monday, February 2. “As always, the OAN Government Relations Team will monitor all developments affecting the nursery industry and work hard on behalf of growers, retailers, suppliers, service providers and others affiliated with the green industry,” Stone said.
